There are 4 fireplaces on this property.

There is a wood fireplace in the main shared living room. There is also another wood fireplace in the outdoor patio located next to the main shared living room. At each end of the property, there is a separate private living area with its own living room. Each of these living rooms has its own small wood fireplace. There is also a fire pit located outside in the backyard of the property.

Firewood is available next to each fireplace and extra wood is located on the outdoor patio.

BBQ

You have 2 choices to BBQ outside.

A Kamado Grill

Propane BBQ

A kamado is a ceramic egg-shaped barbecue of Japanese origin. It is becoming more popular among traditional barbecues thanks to its versatility, as well as its ease of use and maintenance.

With a kamado, you can grill, smoke, roast and cook all your food, together or separately. The temperature control is very precise: the thick ceramic structure allows the heat to be efficiently retained, even for more than 12 hours. This barbecue also has the advantage of consuming very little charcoal.

STOVE AND OVEN

There is a standard gas range oven in the main kitchen. Please note that it can take up to 10 seconds for the pilot to light and start the burner when using the top stove.

DISHWASHER

The dishwasher works best on normal mode. To operate, load dishes and dish pod inside. We ask for any dirty dishes to be loaded into the dishwasher and started before you leave.

WASHER/DRYER

To operate the washer and dryer, add desired detergent or fabric softener, use the dial to select wash or dry mode, then press the start pause button.

Detergent pods and fabric softener sheets are located above or beside the washer and dryer.

JACUZZI

There is a Jacuzzi on the property, however it is not functional at the moment.

PROPERTY ACTIVITIES

Lakes, canoes, paddle boards, trails, sandbox for kids. There are also boardgames and kids toy located under the bench in the front hall.

HEATING AND COOLING

There are white Honeywell Home digital thermostats located in a few places throughout the home. Use the touch screen and select the cool or heat mode. Then adjust the temperature using the arrow buttons. You can also adjust the fan level.

There are also a few standard thermostats that can be simply adjusted using the up and down buttons. The ventilation control panel should be left on the Auto Smart mode.

HOUSE RULES

PARKING

You can park in the driveway in front of the house.

SEPTIC SYSTEM

Our cottages operate on a septic system. Please DO NOT dispose of anything other than natural waste in the toilets. There are trash bins provided in the washrooms for paper waste, feminine hygiene products, hair etc.

NO Alcohol near water

Injuries involving alcohol are a common problem around water bodies, including hot tubs, beaches and swimming holes. Alcohol slows down your reaction time and could put you to sleep, which is dangerous and can lead to more or worse accidents, which is especially dangerous in a hot tub. Do not drink alcohol around water bodies.

GARGABE & RECycling

Please bring garbage bags and recycling to the garbage bins located next to the property's main entrance gate. We ask for any dirty dishes to be loaded into the dishwasher and started before you leave.

NOISE

We're all about peace, enjoyment, and happy neighbours here. We kindly ask everyone to keep the noise level in check. Any fines or penalties will be collected from your deposit or through additional means as required.

power outage

In the event of a power outage, please contact guest services. A team member will come over and start the backup generators for you.

In the meantime, there are some power outage kits located under the bench in the entrance area of the house. These include flashlights and water bottles to be used only in the event of a power outage.

WATER and lake rules

If you are going to go swimming, make sure that somebody is nearby so you can shout for help if you get into difficulties. Shallow water, underwater logs or big rocks are dangerous when you dive or jump in. Check the area each time before you enter the water, as swimming conditions may change.
